"The 2010 Barolo Terlo bursts from the glass with gorgeous energy and vibrancy. Freshly cut flowers, mint, crushed rocks and sweet red berries flesh out nicely. This is one of the more appealing and accessible 2010 Barolos readers will find for near and medium-term enjoyment. Much of that comes from a relatively short period of vinification (15-16 days), with no post-fermentation macerations, a choice that emphasizes fruit and soft tannins. Still this is a serious wine. Hints of leather, tobacco and dried flowers add complexity on the finish." -Antonio Galloni

A touch of oak adds vanilla and resin accents to the cherry, floral and porcino flavors, in addition to compounding the tannins, which need time to integrate with the elegant frame and bright appeal. Best from 2017 through 2028. 591 cases made.

Aromas of forest floor, leather, espresso, spice and grilled herbs lead the nose. The palate offers toasted oak, roasted coffee bean, dried sage, raw red cherry and licorice alongside astringent tannins that need time to integrate fully. Drink after 2018.
